Amherst Winter Farmers’ Market
Markets every Saturday through March
10AM-2PM    Amherst Regional Middle School
170 Chestnut Street   view map

Our final market is this Saturday.  Thank you all for a most incredible market season!

SOUP!  Black Sheep is offering a vegetarian and a meat ‘Market Soup,’ made made from food from our vendors!  Come and enjoy our tastiness of our collaboration.

And a big Thank You to our SPONSORS.  The Winter Market is a very expensive market to run due to the need to rent an indoor space.  The following businesses and organizations make it possible:

Easthampton Savings Bank
Umass Extension and Student Farming Enterprise
Common Capital
Amherst Area Chamber of Commerce
Florence Savings Bank
Collective Copies
TigerPress

Promotions:

Do you enjoy the kimchee at market?  The tempeh?  The sauerkraut?  Help HOSTA HILL FARM with their Kickstarter campaign to build a kitchen to fill the gap between their fields and your table.  If you support local agriculture and sustainable food production, check them out on Kickstarter, contribute what you can, and spread the word.  http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/hostahill/a-kitchen-for-hosta-hill?ref=email

Music

Richie Pace   Richie Pace is a Senior English major at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Though he currently treats music performance as only a supplement towards his undergraduate experience, he plans on pursuing music full-time once he earns his degree in May. Richie incorporates strong vocals and a soft electric guitar tone to create a unique singer/songwriter sound.  Expect plenty of passion, charm, and Beatles covers.

Kids’ Activities

Farm and Wilderness   Amy and Zach join us again to do wilderness-related crafts and talk about Tamarack Farm, Flying Cloud, silent meeting, fifth freedom, and more things related to Farm and Wilderness camps.  http://farmandwilderness.org/
